Meeting Owl Pro Software Release Notes

Meeting Owl Pro will automatically send over the air software updates to Owls that are connected to Wi-Fi and plugged into power over night.

To determine what version of software is on your Owl, follow these steps.

Version 4.5.0.10

Release date: February 1st, 2022

Bug fixes:

Fixed a bug that caused the Ignore Zone slider to be mismatched between the Meeting Owl app and the Owl’s video.
Fixed a bug that caused the Secondary Owl’s video to be frozen on the Main Stage after disconnecting the Owl Connect pair while using Camera Lock.
Fixed a USB bug that caused the Owl to occasionally show corrupted frames on the Main Stage.

Version 4.4.0.12

Bug fixes:

The active speaker frames on the Secondary Owl’s Main Stage will no longer be opposite the speakers’ locations in the 360° Panoramic Strip.
After vertically flipping the Owl’s video, the Camera Lock box in the Owl’s 360° Panoramic Strip will no longer be incorrectly mirrored from the slider movement in the app.

Enhancement:

The Meeting Owl Pro will now search the room for in-room participants to display on the Main Stage if active speakers aren’t detected at the beginning of the meeting.

Added “In Meeting” status in the Nest to reflect when a device is currently being used in a meeting.

Bug fixes:

The Owl Labs splash screen will no longer be briefly shown on the Owl’s Main Stage mid-meeting.
The Camera Lock slider will no longer begin on the left side of the Owl’s 360° Panoramic Strip. When initiating Camera Lock, the slider will now begin in the center of the 360° Panoramic Strip.
Resetting an Owl in the Meeting Owl App will no longer fail to clear all Admin Camera Settings.
Fixed a USB issue that prevented Owls on software versions 3.3.0.11 and above from working with ChromeOS.

Bug fixes:

When using Ignore Zone, a person in the Ignore Zone sitting near the active speaker will no longer be grouped in with the active speaker on the Owl’s Main Stage.
Improvements were made to enhance Owls’ ability to see each other when attempting to pair via Owl Connect.
